Col de la Croix de Fer (2067 m.) is a high mountain pass in the French Alps linking Le Bourg-d'Oisans and Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne. It’s very accessible by car and you can pitch the tent close to the lake. But remember, it gets crowded on weekend and the best spots are taken very quickly.
